Experiments
The Centre has
a Geophysical Fluid Dynamics laboratory with a rotating table designed
for simulation of tropical and monsoonal circulations.
A convection tank allows the study of jets, plumes and thermals.
The laboratory has a laser Doppler anemometer for velocity measurements,
a laser based flow visualization facility for visualizing the flow, and
a CCD camera for flow recording.
